Dr. John E. Lamothe, O.D.

Biography
Dr. Lamothe is a board-certified optometrist and is licensed to practice Optometry in Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Dr. Lamothe has practiced optometry for over six years. He also owns and manages three other practices in the Washington metropolitan area. He serves as a contract Doctor for Bolling Air Force Base and is an affiliate Doctor for TLC Laser Eye Centers, located in Rockville, Maryland and Tysons Corner, Virginia.
Dr. Lamothe obtained a Doctor of Optometry in 1999 from New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York in Potsdam, New York in 1992. He conducted his medical internships at the Newington Veterans Hospital in Newington, Connecticut, the Dorchester House Multi-Medical Site in Boston, Massachusetts, as well as the Cataract and Laser Institute in San Antonio, Texas. He has also served in a co-management capacity along side prestigious eye physicians at Corneal Consultants in Boston, Massachusetts, a clinic known for their work in refractive surgery and corneal disease.
While finishing his Doctorate degree, Dr. Lamothe has participated in two relief missions to Merida, Mexico, overseeing the eye care services provided to underprivileged residents of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Dr. Lamothe takes great pride in providing all his patients the highest-quality Optometric care, including the co-management of refractive surgery.
